FAQs

Can I pay in installments?

Absolutely! A once-off payment is available (+ is the lowest total cost), however, 2-part payments are available with each package.

What if I don’t like the design?

Given you’ve supplied us with your images, inspiration and instructions this is very unlikely. But don’t worry – before we build your site, you’ll get to provide feedback during our design review stage.

Will I get advice on branding and marketing?

As part of these packages – no. But if you’d like advice and guidance in these areas we can certainly help. Please make contact here and we’ll let you know how we can help.

Will someone guide me through the process?

Yes! You will be provided with documentation on the process and we will answer any questions you have via email. The process is entirely virtual, which means the Artisantopia team will be building your website from your submitted information. There is no face-to-face contact unless you’d like to add this on.

Why WordPress?

So many reasons! WordPress is a powerful content management system that makes building and managing a website so easy.
It’s modular – so you can add on the functionality you need, when you need it. As your business grows and changes you can just add on anything you need.
It integrates with just about any third-party service you can think of. If you are already using other services (TimeTrade, Aweber, eJunkie, etc, etc) then it’s so easy to integrate these into your WordPress site.
It has a powerful blogging engine that allows you to post new content effortlessly and make archives searchable and sortable.
It provides excellent SEO – WordPress + well designed plugins + a fast, responsive theme + great content = improved Google rankings!
The admin area is very user friendly and intuitive.
Seriously – you can create anything you can dream using WordPress!

Why do I need an email database?

Well, you don’t actually need one, but it’s the best way to stay in touch with your tribe. The money is in the list babe, so it’s worth the effort to start collecting email addresses! And it makes it so easy to keep in touch with people via professional looking emails. Plus you can track opens and clicks – helping you to track the effectiveness of all your customer interactions.

Can I make changes to the site myself or will I need to get you to do them for me?

Many web site designers and developers trap their clients by making the site so complicated that the site owner is held to ransom and has to keep paying for even the smallest update. This approach makes us furious! At Artisantopia, we believe we are merely giving you the tools to run your business, so that means ensuring you are empowered to manage the site yourself. We do this through video tutorials in your site admin, and training if you need it.

Having said that, we do use some powerful tools that are complex – so you may feel more comfortable having us make some of the bigger changes. But if you want to tackle it yourself, we will give you the information you need.

What about ongoing maintenance and support?

Yes, we can help you with that! In fact, we recommend it to ensure the smooth running of your site. We have a support service that includes monthly updates of WordPress and plugins, testing to ensure your backups are working, monitoring to pick up any strange behaviour (e.g. early warning signs of hacking attempts) and email support for those quick questions that come up regularly. We’ll discuss the options with you before your site is launched.

What if I don’t need everything in the package?

That’s ok, you don’t have to use everything. But the price is the same. We selected the functionality most creative and soul-based business owners need, but everyone is unique. If you have any special requests, please let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.

I’m not quite ready yet, but I know I want you to build my site.

Awesome! You can pay a 25% deposit now to lock in your timeslot. We’ll get in touch with you a couple of weeks before to get the process started. Please just let us know on the Getting Started form.
